Launching New Products
“You only get one chance to make a good first impression.”

Few things are more important to a company than the launch of a brand new product. Business school graduates and others know the importance of being the first in the market, and how first impressions can stay in the market for ages. The principals of Composite Communication have helped a number of clients clear this important hurdle with successful new-product launches.

Sauder Manufacturing
Sauder Manufacturing faced the new-product challenge and more in 2005 when they needed to announce the fact that the company was expanding its line of worship products to include auditorium seats. Until then, the company had produced pews, chancel furniture and upholstered wood chairs for worship facilities. Working through alliance partner Hoeck Associates, Bill Hamilton developed and distributed a news release that announced the move to the market.

Tecumseh Products
Tecumseh Products faced the new-product challenge when the company developed a new compressor for a new market. Composite Communication developed and executed a public relations plan that included a series of targeted news releases, personal contact with key refrigeration editors, and photography that dramatically illustrated the product’s size benefit. All PR and advertising drove traffic to the company’s website where there was additional information about the product. When last seen, the product manager’s daily planner was filled with calls and appointments to follow up on leads.
